A man in a striped shirt plays a guitar on a stage.

Raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, guitarist and composer Noah Hogan was immersed in music from a young age, picking up the ukulele at the age of 4. Growing into the guitar, he has since explored diverse musical genres, developing a captivating sound inspired by the likes of Pat Metheny, Esperanza Spalding, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Bill Frisell.

Currently pursuing a Jazz Performance degree at NYU, Noah has studied under luminaries such as John Scofield, Lenny White, Chris Potter, and Peter Bernstein, broadening his musical perspectives. More recently fascinated by the realms of Brazilian music and film scores, he looks to create music at an intersection between jazz and these styles. In 2019, Noah was one of 7 students selected into the premier University of Michigan Jazz Ambassadors program, studying under the faculty of U of M as well as the legendary John Clayton. He also received a Downbeat Magazine student award for Outstanding Combo in 2020.
