Blue LLama Bistro: A Trip to Paris Grand Opening
Kick off the Grand Opening of Blue LLama's newest pop up with an evening of French Chanson and select American songbook tunes!
Blue LLama Jazz Club brings French cuisine to S. Main St. Ann Arbor with its pop up Bistro: A Trip to Paris. Celebrate the new pop up Grand Opening with live music showcasing French Chanson by local musicians, Andrew Brown and Leila Shaye. More details coming soon!
An evening of French Chanson and select American songbook tunes featuring talented vocalist Leila Shaye and guitarist Andrew Brown. Backed up by the full Djangophonique ensemble.
Led by guitarist Andrew Brown, Djangophonique is a musical project, born out of reverence for the Parisian Jazz Manouche style that was made popular by the legendary Sinti guitarist Django Reinhardt and his Quintette du Hot Club de France. While remaining steeped in the rich and virtuosic tradition, the group brings this music into the present with stunning improv, spontaneity and musical interaction. Hot swing, lush ballads, musette waltzes, jazz standards, boleros, and moody minor pieces are all fused together with theatrical flair and a sense of humor.
